The System of Value-Creating Pedagogy was compiled by Toda from Makiguchi's manuscript notes. Volume I was published by Soka Kyoiku Gakkai, and the publication date is considered to be the date of the foundation of today's Soka Gakkai.
Volume I discusses the methods of educational theory and practice, and defines the life-long happiness of learners as the true goal of education.
